| 18 January 2003 : The Boys At Number 4! |
|
In their January 2003 edition UK monthly magazine Record Collector placed The Boys self titled debut album at Number 4 in their Top 25 LP's of the Punk & New Wave Era. The Ramones were Number 1, The Dammed Number 2, The Clash Number 3 and the Sex Pistols Number 5. The article states: "The Beatles in bondage tag might have bordered on the blasphemous at the time, but hey, if the Fab Four had been reincarnated as fresh-faced punks, this is the album they would have penned. Move over Lennon/McCartney and make way for Dangerfield/Steel purveyors of irresistible three-minute pop classics that threatened to give punk a good name." |
