16 April 2010: The Boys in Sheffield!
The Boys are to play at The Corporation Club in Sheffield on Saturday 23 October 2010, their only UK gig of 2010. 

It will be the first time that The Boys have played in Yorkshire for more than 30 years and is less than 25 miles from where Matt Dangerfield & Honest John Plain grew up in Leeds, the area which inspired "Brickfield Nights".

29 March 2010: The Mattless Boys Single, Album & London Dates

Honest John Plain, Duncan Reid, Casino Steel & Vom Ritchie of The Boys have recorded a new album which is set to be released September 2010.  Early mixes of two of the songs are currently available to listen to at www.myspace.com/themattlessboys  
 
In advance of the album they are to release a new recording of a previously unreleased 1980 Boys demo, "Talk To Me" as a single under the band name of The Mattless Boys.
 
To promote the single and forthcoming album The Mattless Boys will play their first live show on Saturday 19 June at the Still Unbeatable 77 Punk Festival at The Victoria, London.  They will be supported by The Stiffs, Fast Cars & The Plague.  Tickets for the Festival are £12 and are on sale now from We Got Tickets
 
They will follow their live debut with another gig on Saturday 26 June at The Good Ship in Kilburn.  Tickets for this show are now available from Gigantic for only £5.
 
Copies of the "Talk To Single" will be available at both shows.
26 February 2010: We Love 77
A portrait of The Boys is included in the "We Love 77" exhibition by conceptual artists Sardine & Tobleroni that features 77 of the most iconic punk bands. Duncan Reid & Honest John Plain attended the opening launch party on 19 February 2010 in London.
 
The exhibition is open daily 12-6pm and runs from Saturday 20 February to Sunday 21 March at Wilson WIlliams Gallery at The Merchant's Hall, 46 Essex Road, London N1 8LN.

The brand new Honest John Plain album is to be released in Germany by Still Unbeatable Records on 17 August 2009.

The album features new acoustic versions of several Boys, Crybabys and Honest John Plain solo classics. including First Time, Terminal Love, Gabrielle, Jimmy Brown, Remember To Forget, Funny Old Game & Sorrows.

The first 200 copies will be available in limited edition Green Vinyl, with a commemorative inner sleeve containing background information about every song on the album.

1 June 2009: The Boys Return To Japan
 
The Boys are to play three dates in Tokyo, Japan 10 years on from their first gigs as a reformed band in Tokyo in 1999.  They will play the Shinjuku Antiknock on Friday 4 September, Saturday 5 September & Sunday 6 September 2009.

22 November 2008: Jimmy Brown Single

"Jimmy Brown" is to be released as a limited edition vinyl single in Germany on Monday 15 December 2008 almost 30 years after The Boys rejected it as a possible single. The double B-side will be "Walk My Dog" along with Vom Ritchie's favourite Boys song "I Love Me".
 
All three tracks are taken from The Boys original German Release "Odds & Sods", which was compiled by Die Toten Hosen frontman Campino in 1990.

10 April 2008: The Boys Live In London!

The Boys have just announced they are to play their first date in London for more than 2 years.  They are to appear at the ULU (University of London Union) on Friday 17 October 2008.  It will be their only UK appearance during 2008.

In recent years The Boys have played in Germany, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Japan and Morecambe!  The London show follows intense lobbying from their fans to return to their spiritual home following their two sell-out London shows in 2006. It is set to be only their 3rd appearance in the capital in 27 years.

23 September 2007: The Last Rock 'N' Roll Band Album 

Honest John Plain & Casino Steel's The Last Rock 'N' Roll Band's debut album is to be released in France on 10 October 2007 by Action Records (AR004CD).

The album will be released in Norway by Revolution Records in November with further international releases to follow in 2008.

7 May  2007: More Boys Dates in  2007

Following on from their sell out dates in Spain The Boys are booked to play two more dates in 2007.

They return to Germany headlining the Back To The Future Festival in Pouch on Saturday 21 July 2007.

The Boys then move onto Trondheim, Norway where they recorded their third album "To Hell With The Boys" in 1979. They are headlining the Pstereo Festival on Saturday 25 August 2007.

5 January 2007: Casino Steel & Honest John Plain Album/Tour

Casino Steel and Honest John Plain have formed a band together and are to record an album, provisionally titled "Separate The Men From The Boys". They are joined by Backstreet Girls guitarist Petter Baarli and John's fellow Amigos Mat Sargent  and Robbie Rushton.

The Steel/Plain band line-up is :

Petter Baarli (guitar/vocals)
Robbie Rushton (drums)
Mat Sargent (bass/vocals)

Both Boys London dates at The Barfly on 22 September and 23 September 2006 have completely sold out.

Fans without tickets are advised not to travel to The Barfly.

The Boys are playing The Barfly to mark the 30th anniversary of their first ever gig at Islington's Hope and Anchor, which was attended by Billy Idol, Mick Jones, Tony James and Gene October amongst others.

It is over 25 years since the band previously played in London and this weekend will mark their only UK appearance during 2006 and their last ever live performance in London.
 

21 May 2006: The Boys Add 2nd London Date

Following huge demand, the 22 September show by The Boys at London’s Barfly club has sold out.

A second date on the following night, Saturday 23 September 2006, has been added for those fans unable to buy tickets for the Friday.

Cherry Red have just released the first ever Boys DVD, "Sick On You" (CRDVD 126).  The DVD features The Boys first German gig in Dusseldorf on 21 December 2001, which was previously released on video by Barn End. It also features The Boys supporting The Ramones at University of East Anglia, Norwich on 19 January 1980.
