| New Boys Album - The Truth! |
![]() |
The Boys have been considering the possibility of recording a new album in light of the interest shown by several record labels and pressure from Boys fans for new material. However it is unlikely that they will return to Rockfield in the short term due to business commitments. If the demand is there from the fans an album of new material remains a possibility. Honest John Plain says 'I've loads of Boys songs waiting to be recorded and I'm sure that Matt and Cas have too. I'd love to record a new Boys album and if that's what the fans want then I'm sure it'll happen.' |

| Flash Bang Wallop! |

"Flash, Bang Wallop!", a new book by Ian Dickson was released at the end of October. It features photographs of the punk explosion first published in Sounds magazine back in the late 1970's. Almost everyone involved in the punk explosion are in the book and there's five Boys related photos as well as an amusing tale from Matt Dangerfield about the fans habit of 'gobbing' on punk bands of the time. There's two great photos of The Boys on stage at Reading Top Rank as well as one in NEMS offices. There's also a photo of Ken Mewis, The Boys manager and one of Duncan Reid with the Jam. To see more of Ian Dickson's photos go to http://www.late20thcenturyboy.com/flashbang.html |

| "You Better Move On" |

The Boys performing "You Better Move On" on the German TV show Musik Laden was repeated on German TV in September 2000. The show, which was originally recorded in May 1980, featured The Boys first appearance without Casino Steel. Although on the show the video was faded just as the solo was starting it provides great archive footage of The Boys at their peak. |
